Our Programs- Math Counts

We have created
a new program that will be the
counterpart to our reading
program, and the program is Math
Counts. This program
was created to help assist the
schools combat the growing
problem that some of our
students have related to their
math skills. As with our Reading
For Success program, the Math
Counts program will concentrate
on helping students with any
remediation issues that either
we have identified or any math
skills issues which have been
reported to RHO from the
student's schools. To implement
the Math Counts program a math
lab has been created at RHO,
equipped with computers, math
workbooks, and white boards. The
math lab's entire focus is
on activities that allow the
students to apply mathematics.
The math lab provides an
opportunity for the students to
learn in a fun and non-judgmental environment. |
